Tesa contributes to parent company’s good result

The Tesa business segment recorded significant year-on-year organic sales growth of 28.2% in the first half of 2021, contributing to the parent company Beiersdorf’s good overall half-year results.

In the second quarter, adhesive materials manufacturer Tesa even achieved organic sales growth of 33.5%. In nominal terms, Tesa recorded sales growth of 25.7% to EUR 773 million (previous year: EUR 615 million). The EBIT margin reached 20.5% (previous year: 15.6%).

Growth in all business areas

Tesa recorded sales growth in all business areas and regions. In particular, Direct Industries, the direct business with industrial customers, grew strongly, led by the electronics business in Asia and the global recovery in the automotive sector.

Supported by growth in the e-commerce area, Tesa also remained on track for growth in the Trade Markets area with its consumer business.
