Meffert AG acquires stake in Bio Pin Group
With effect from 1 January 2022, Meffert AG Farbwerke is acquiring a majority stake in Bio Pin Holding.
Bio Pin, which was founded in 1983 and is based in Jever, has grown continuously in recent years and, according to the company, is now one of the top 10 manufacturers of natural dyes in Europe. The two managing directors Thomas Klapproth and Tobias Gölz will remain with Bio Pin as managing partners.

Meffert AG is pleased about the new commitment. Chairman of the Board Klaus Meffert: “Natural colours are an important future market with a permanently growing demand. We do not want to reach this market through greenwashing, but through ecologically sustainable products. Bio-Pin products are 100 percent natural paints that perfectly complement the broad portfolio of Meffert AG.”
According to the company, this starts with the selection of raw materials, such as natural, vegetable oils and resins, mineral pigments and real bees and plant wax, and continues with climate-efficient production right through to the healthy living product.
