Armodios Yannidis elected HACI President

The new Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of Chemical Industries (HACI) was constituted into a body, following the elections held during the Association’s Annual General Meeting.

On taking office, the new President of the Hellenic Association of Chemical Industries talked about the Association’s evolution through time. In his remarks, Mr. Yannidis laid particular emphasis on how the two former presidents, V. Efthymiadis and V. Gounaris, had contributed to reinforcing the Association’s role as an institution and representative of the wider Greek chemical industry. “Speaking in chemical terms, they succeeded in increasing the volume and specific gravity of the Hellenic Association of Chemical Industries,” noted Mr. Yannidis.

He concluded by stressing that, “The new Board of Directors will continue working with transparency, integrity and responsibility, respect towards our stakeholders and always committed to scientific substantiation. Our goal is that the Greek Chemical Industry will act as a sustainability catalyst offering innovative solutions to the ever growing problems faced by both our planet and society.”

The new Board of Directors was formed as follows:

  • President: Armodios Yannidis (Vitex)
  • 1st Vice-president: Vassilis Gounaris (BASF Hellas)
  • 2nd Vice-president: Alexandros Katraouzos (Neotex)
  • Secretary General: Georgia Spyridaki (Hellenic Petroleum) 
  • Treasurer: Theodore – Dimitrios Stathopoulos (Kapachim) 
  • Member: Charalambos Varelas (Megara Resins) 
  • Member: Alexandros Krallis (N. Krallis)
  • Member: Vassos Efthymiadis (K&N Efthymiadis Single Member)
  • Member: Theodora Kouloura (Kavala Fertilizers)
