PCI doubles capacity in dispersion production
PCI Augsburg is doubling its dispersion production capacity with a new dispersion plant at the company’s headquarters in Augsburg, Germany.
With an investment in the higher single-digit million range, PCI Augsburg GmbH has expanded its dispersion plant at its headquarters in Augsburg. The new plant is now completed after a construction period of less than one year. Most recently, the company produced around 9,000 tonnes of PCI products in the existing dispersion plant. Thanks to the expansion, the total capacity will be doubled to approx. 18,000 tons per year in full-load operation.
Dry mortar and dispersion products
PCI Augsburg GmbH, founded in 1950, is one of the leading manufacturers of construction chemicals products in Germany with over 1,200 employees and a turnover of almost 350 million EUR. The plant at the company’s headquarters in Augsburg, which started operations in 1950, now employs around 500 people and mainly produces dry mortar and dispersion products. In October 2020, PCI Augsburg GmbH had completed its new supply center in Augsburg which increased the loading capacity by over 30%, after only one year of construction. At the same time, the company invested in the production facilities at the Hamm, Germany, site and built a new pail filling plant that doubled the filling capacity for powder materials in pails.
