IMCD opens new Coatings & Construction laboratory in Austria
IMCD has announced the opening of a new Coatings & Construction laboratory in Vienna, Austria. This facility will specialise in decorative paints and industrial coatings.
In addition to serving as a laboratory, the facility is intended to be used as a training centre for customers and employees. It is equipped with an analytical area, a testing area, and a spraying chamber to apply finished formulations.
International network of 14 laboratories
The laboratory was officially inaugurated on 19 April 2023 in Markt Allhau, Austria with more than 30 customers from five different countries attending the ceremony. Johann Milchram, Managing Director of IMCD South East Europe emphasised the importance of supporting customers with new formulation developments. Heinz Diethardt, Laboratory Manager, added, “With an international network of 14 laboratories and the exchange of know-how between our experts, we can guarantee maximised support for sustainable formulation development.”
