Bismuth vanadate pigments: BASF increases prices and extends production capacities
Effective from now, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase prices for bismuth vanadate pigments and preparations based on this chemistry by up to 15% percent worldwide. The price increase will affect several market segments, predominantly the coatings industry. Price adjustments are necessary due to significantly higher raw material prices.
Extension of production capacity
By 2020, the company will extend its production capacity for “Paliocrom” effect pigments by more than 30 %. With this investment of about EUR 15 million to the Ludwigshafen and Besigheim sites in Germany, the company aims to underline its position as supplier of aluminum-based effect pigments.
