European Coatings Show 2021 will take place
After an elaborate exchange with the exhibitors, the organisers of the European Coatings Show have decided that the leading trade fair of the European coatings industry will take place. A detailed hygiene concept, which should combine safety and a good trade fair experience, is in place.

-Should the European Coatings Show (ECS) take place in times of the corona pandemic? And if so, how and also when? All these questions have been intensively discussed by the organisers. The exhibitors were also involved and questioned at an early stage.
On this basis the decision has now been made that ECS 2021 will definitely take place from 23-25 March 2021 as planned. The associated conference will also take place on 22 – 23 March. The Call for Papers is already open.

Alexander Mattausch, Executive Director Exhibitions at Messe Nürnberg, is delighted: “It’s on again! After the tough measures to combat the corona pandemic, we are glad that we were able to implement extensive hygiene and protection measures to ensure a successful and safe exhibition for all participants – exhibitors, visitors, journalists and service providers. And the discussions with our exhibitors show us: The industry is looking forward to the European Coatings Show 2021!” Talks with exhibitors also showed that many of them are already preparing at full speed for ECS 2021.
Amanda Beyer, Director Event Management at Vincentz Network, is also in good spirits. “We are looking forward to the European Coatings Show and are proud that numerous industry giants such as Bühler, Byk, Covestro, Eckart, Huntsman, Sun Chemicals and many more have already secured their stand,” she explains and adds: “Nevertheless, we have additionally extended the early booking deadline to 14. August to take account of the special situation.
Detailed hygiene concept
Of course, ECS also has a hygiene concept that guarantees a safe and up-to-date exhibition for all participants. The concept is available on the website European Coatings Show and is continuously updated according to current knowledge. For example, it provides for regular disinfection of surfaces, sufficient space to keep a distance and, of course, a ventilation concept that ensures a sufficiently high supply of fresh air throughout the trade fair and congress interior.
