Henkel opens new manufacturing facility near Pune in India
Henkel Adhesives Technologies has officially inaugurated its new production facility in Kurkumbh, India, near Pune.
With a total investment of about 50 million EUR the business unit aims to serve the growing demand of Indian industries for high-performance solutions in adhesives, sealants and surface treatment products. Designed as a smart factory the new plant enables a wide range of Industry 4.0 operations and is intendet to meet the highest standards for sustainability.
The facility admeasures 100,000 square meters and has a built-up area of 51,000 square meters. According to Henkel, it is India’s largest adhesive manufacturing site. It is supposed to increase Henkel´s capabilities to serve customers across various markets including flexible packaging, automotive, agriculture and construction equipment, general industry and metals.ensure digitised workflows

According to Henkel, the new site is designed as a smart factory with a high level of process automation and enables a wide range of Industry 4.0 applications. The end-to-end digitalisation of the plant operations is supposed to ensure digitised workflows.
