The largest European Coatings Show ever
The final numbers are remarkable: With more than 30,000 visitors from more than 100 countries and over 1,100 exhibitors the ECS broke all records. The organizers and most important the visitors and exhibitors can look back to a successful trade show.
“Even before the ECS opened its doors, visitors were waiting outside, eager to dive into the world of coatings. Halls and stands were brimming with life. Everyone was taking the opportunity of meeting face to face to find out about products and to connect with business partners”, says Amanda Beyer, head of events at Vincentz Network, co-organiser of the show.
In a larger space at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg than before, the exhibiting companies presented innovative and new products and services for every aspect of paints, coatings and sealants production. Especially water-borne systems, food contact, bio-based coatings and automatization in coatings production seemed to be trending topics. But also innovations in antimicrobial coatings attracted quite an interest.
The European Coatings Show Conference on April 3 and 4 also impressed with a growing popularity: over 840 participants from about 50 countries set another record for this hub for discussion among coating researchers and developers.

The next European Coatings Show will be held at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 19–21 March 2019.
