Bassermann Minerals becomes distribution partner of BKT Carbon
Bassermann Minerals, a 100% subsidiary of the Stockmeier Group, has taken over the distribution of BKT Carbon, an Indian manufacturer of ASTM and specialty carbon blacks.
BKT Carbon is part of the BKT Group, a well-known tire manufacturer for special tires (e.g. for trucks). The BKT Group has a turnover of over EUR 0,95 billion. The modern plants (2019 for ASTM carbon blacks and 2022 for specialties) have a capacity of 200,000 mt. In addition to many ASTM carbon blacks, specialty carbon blacks for printing inks, plastics, and paints and coatings have recently been developed and produced. Especially in this area, BKT Carbon is very active.
