Kanert assumed responsibility as EuPIA’s first Executive Manager in 2006. Since then, EuPIA has successfully developed and established standards to ensure the safety of printed food contact materials. Many committees and working groups were established under hin management, most of them dealing with enhancing the safety of printing inks. In December 2019 Kanert was appointed as Managing Director of the German Paint and Printing Ink Association VdL. After four years of dual responsibility, he decided to now focus on his role in Germany.

Tietz, EuPIA’s new Director, brings a wealth of experience. For the past seven years, she has served as the Secretary General of ESIG, the European Solvents Industry Group, and its sector association. Her career in Brussels spans nearly twenty years, during which she held various positions in Cefic and ReachCentrum. She holds two Master’s degrees in Humanities, further demonstrating her broad knowledge and expertise.

“It’s a great honour and for sure a challenge to take over from Martin Kanert who has been the driving force of EuPIA for so many many years. I am truly looking forward to embark on this new and exciting journey together with the EuPIA members and the CEPE team.”, Tietz says upon starting the position.
