Beckers inaugurates FutureLab in the UK

Beckers Group open the FutureLab in Liverpool, UK. This facility will drive the development of coil coatings. The new building effectively doubles the capacity of Beckers’ long-term development department, enhancing the company’s ability to make more sustainable coatings.

According to the company the FutureLab features several new pieces of equipment that will be important for future developments, such as the enhancement of UV/EB coatings. Sustainability features have been incorporated into its design and build, including Beckers’ own thermal-control coating on the roof that reduces the amount of energy needed to heat the building, an active carbon filtration system on a VOC exhaust chimney and heat pumps to reduce CO2 emissions related to heating. Furthermore, a experience room is ready to welcome all customers and partners who are keen on collaborating with Beckers on future developments.

FutureLab was inaugurated at a full-day event on 26 September 2024 by Jenny Lindén Urnes, the owner of Lindéngruppen, and Fabio Pedrazzi, the CEO of Lindéngruppen. The event featured presentations, tours of the new facility, and discussions on the future of sustainable innovation at Beckers.
