Clariant has reached a significant milestone by becoming the first company in the industry to present a completely PFAS-free additive portfolio. Key products in the new range include the Ceridust 8170 M texturing agent and the AddWorks PPA line of polymer processing aids, specifically developed to meet the growing demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.

This move to eliminate PFAS from its entire additive portfolio is a strategic response to tightening global regulations. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are chemicals linked to a range of environmental and health risks, with many countries already tightening their regulations on their use in products.

Safe and high-performance alternatives to PFAS-based products

By introducing PFAS-free solutions, Clariant provides an equally high-performing yet significantly more environmentally friendly alternative. The new products are designed to offer the same high standards as their PFAS-containing counterparts, without compromising environmental safety or health.

Aligned with the growing demand for sustainable products, Clariant has also announced plans to expand its range of sustainable solutions by 2025. This move reflects the company’s commitment to continuous innovation, responding to the needs of an environmentally responsible market.
