The Corrosion Inspector from Schäfter+Kirchhoff automatically evaluates corrosion test panels and delivers a very high-contrast image with a resolution of 0.022 mm per pixel in just 1.2 seconds (5-10s including all processes).
Implemented evaluation methods (according to international standards) include: filiform corrosion, delamination and degree of corrosion, cross-cut testing, degree of blistering and multi-impact tests.
The latest software version includes a new feature that uses a trainable machine learning algorithm to separate actual corrosion from interfering background effects. Users mark the sample in a few places, the algorithm then annotates the complete sample. Once trained, subsequent panels are processed using the trained algorithm. The feature enables even difficult samples to be evaluated.
