W. R. Grace launches Syloid Rad 2111 silica for achieving enhanced matting efficiency in UV coatings without compromising performance. The newest matting agent boasts a larger particle size, enabling coatings formulators to achieve better matting efficiency with minimal impact on viscosity and allowing for faster and longer run rates on roller coating lines.

Developed for 100 % VOC-free radiation-cured coatings, it can be used for roller applications alone or blended in combination with the company’s Syloid Rad 2105, offering flexibility in optimising the desired gloss/sheen balance.
