Sustainable resins for road marking applications

Road markings based on 2K cold plastic resins are known for having the highest endurance amongst road marking materials. As solvent- and VOC-free products, they provide one of the most environmentally friendly road marking solutions, according to life-cycle assessment.

Helios Resins R&D laboratories developed a new line of 2K cold plastics based on bio-renewable materials which additionally lower the carbon footprint and align with the current environmental trends.

In addition to the existing portfolio of methacrylate resins, two resins have been given a green upgrade. Domacryl 915 and Domacryl 916 which contain 10 % bio-based Carbon-14 according to ASTM 6866 and enable a wide area of methacrylate road marking applications.
