EC Journal

Can I subscribe to the EC Journal from foreign countries?

Yes, of course. Please note the prices applicable in foreign countries.

How frequently is the journal published?

The European Coatings Journal is published 10 times a year, always on the 15th of the month with double issues in January/February and July/August.

You will receive the printed edition usually a few days later by postal mail. The digital edition is usually available online a few days earlier.

How much does a subscription to EC Journal cost?

EC Journal’s current subscription prices can be found in our webshop.

Can I stop the delivery of my subscription temporarily?

Unfortunately an temporarily suspension of the subscription is not possible.

However, the subscription can be cancelled in writing at any time for the next available issue.

Can the EC journal also be delivered to a holiday address?

Unfortunately it is not possible to send the issues to a holiday address.

When and how can I cancel my subscription?

The subscription can be cancelled in writing at any time for the next available issue.

I did not recieve my issue. How do I get a replacement?

When will I receive the next annual invoice?

The annual invoice is always issued on the first day of the following month in which you have taken out the subscription.

Where can I find my subscription number?

You will find this on your journal invoice (e.g. ZS123456).

Books and other products from our webshop

Which books are offered?

You can find an overview of all our books in our online shop. There you can also place your order directly.

How can I place an order?

In our onlineshop you have the possibility to buy our journal as well as our books and conference proceedings.

Which payment methods do you offer?

You have the possibility to choose between purchase on account, payment by direct debit, by Paypal or payment by credit card.

How much are the shipping fees?

Within Germany, the delivery is usually free of shipping charges.

For deliveries to foreign countries we charge a flat rate of 4,90€.

Booksellers are excluded from this regulation.

When will my order arrive?

Orders are usually shipped after 2 working days. The shipping itself can vary depending on the shipping method. Please note that during the Christmas season, longer delivery times may occur due to a higher order volume.

Deliveries abroad usually take longer, depending on the destination country.

How can I subsequently change my delivery/billing address?

How can I cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel an order that has already been received by you, a simple return is sufficient.

Where can I get a return receipt?

If a return receipt has already been enclosed with the shipment, simply use it to return the product.

If you do not have one and need one, please contact us at service@vincentz.net.

Where do I find my download link after the order?

In your order confirmation (by e-mail) you will find a link to the download.

I cannot retrieve my purchased download. What can I do?

What devices can I use to access my downloads?

You can access your downloads on all devices where you can open and read PDF/Epub files.

I cannot open my download. What can I do?

Our downloads are either in PDF or EPUB format.

PDF: To open PDF files, you need a PDF reader. You can find this free of charge on the Internet.

EPUB: To open EPUB files, you need a program to open eBooks. You can find these free of charge on the Internet.

There was an error in my order. Who can I contact?

Where can I find my invoice?

Invoice for individual deliveries are enclosed in the package. If the invoice and delivery address differ, the invoice will be sent separately to the invoice recipient.

I need a copy of the invoice. Who can I contact?

What are the bank details if I want to transfer the amount?

You will find the bank details on your invoice. Please only transfer the amount after you have received an invoice from us.

The subscription invoice is always issued on the 1st of the following month in which you have purchased the subscription. Please always quote your invoice number as reference.

I made a double payment. What can I do?

Events

Which events are available?

We offer various kinds of events. These include trade fairs, conferences, seminars and online events. You can find an overview of all our events here (LINK).

How can I register for an event?

Registrations should be made via the online registration form on the website.

Can I cancel a registration?

Cancellation policies are the following: Fees will be refunded in full if notice of cancellation is received up to 4 weeks before the conference. 50% of the fee will be refunded if cancellation is received later, but no later than two weeks before the conference. Delegates who cancel less than two weeks before the conference or fail to attend without notifying the organiser will be liable for the whole conference fee. In all cases postmark shall apply. Substitutions of delegates may be made at any time.

In case of virtual events: Cancellations need to be made with the responsible event manager or a colleague directly. A technical cancellation of your email address registration for Go-to-Webinar or other services or tools used is not sufficient and the fee will apply nevertheless.

Can I obtain a visa letter for this event?

Please submit your registration and payment. Once complete, we can issue a visa letter.

Is hotel accommodation included in the price? How do I reserve a room?

Hotel accommodation is not included in the registration fee. You will receive a reservation form or a booking link together with your confirmation of registration.

Do you offer a live stream for this event?

Please refer to the registration section for availability and pricing of the live stream. Please note that our events are provided via Youtube and you will need to be able to access this platform in order to view the live stream.

Is there a registration deadline for this event?

There is no deadline as such but booking early is advisable as all events have a maximum number of participants and can sell out. You will also benefit from early bird discounts where applicable.

How and when will I receive the proceedings for this event?

Proceedings will be provided digitally and not as a hard copy. We will communicate login details for our app well in time for your participation. Alternatively, you will receive a link to download the proceedings in advance.

Are there any discounts available?

We offer complimentary registration for full time students (letter of enrolment required as proof) and a variety of early bird discounts for most events.

How do I become a speaker at an event?

Please send a message to the event manager for the specific event. We will be happy to put you in touch with our editorial team.

How do I become a sponsor at an event?

Please send a message to the event manager for the specific event. We will be happy to put you in touch with our sales team.

What networking opportunities do you offer?

There are plenty of refreshment breaks during our events as well as a dedicated reception and / or evening function for most multi-day events to meet all other participants and speakers.

Can I bring my spouse/child?

You will be able to book your room for double occupancy. However, please note that spouses cannot attend any of the sessions and that no childcare will be offered during the event.

Do you offer this event at another date?

We can tailor an event date and the content to suit your needs. Please contact us if you would like to book this event on your premises.

Which payment methods do you offer?

We accept all major credit cards. We can also arrange for you to pay by bank transfer but must insist that all monies have been received before the start of the event.

Is there a particular dress code I need to follow at the event?

We do not insist on a dress code unless explicitly indicated. For our conferences our delegates usually chose business attire while seminar attendees chose business-casual.

Will I receive a list of delegates and if yes when and which information will it include?

We will provide all delegates with a list of delegates upon arrival at the event. The list will include information about name, company and country from each participant. Please understand that according to GDPR we cannot supply eMail addresses any longer. Many of our events however make use of an app which enables delegates to get in contact with each other.

EC Directory is Europe‘s largest buyers guide for the coatings industry. You can search in round about 1,500 companies and find the supplier and products you need.

You can search for special product areas (e.g. Cadmium yellow) and you can search for suppliers and their special products.

General information

I have forgotten my password. how do I get a new one?

If you have forgotten your password, please use the “Forgot password” feature when logging in. You will then receive an e-mail with a link to reset your password.

How do I change my e-mail address?

After login you have the possibility to change your e-mail address.

If you are not yet registered and have only subscribed to our newsletter, please register. Afterwards you can also change your e-mail address there.

How can I change my password?

You can assign a new password via the Forgot password function.

The system shows me that my e-mail is already taken. What can I do?

If your e-mail has already been assigned, a user account already exists for it. Select “Forgot password” and follow the steps given there.

I no longer receive the newsletter. Why is that?

If you no longer receive the newsletter, this may have several reasons. Please check whether the newsletter has ended up in your spam folder. If this is not the case, you can simply subscribe to the newsletter again.

How can I unsubscribe from the newsletter?

Every newsletter contains is a link “Unsubscribe” at the bottom area. There you have the possibility to remove yourself from our mailing list. You will then no longer receive our newsletter.

I have tried to unsubscribe from the newsletter, but it does not work. What can I do?
