Functional coatings in the focus of the November issue
The November issue of the European Coatings Journal is out. It features a full package on functional coatings: a market report, a product overview and expert interviews.
Today, it is impossible to imagine everyday life without functional coatings, whether as antimicrobial, self-healing or easy-to-clean system. Research does not stop here either.
The authors of our focus article present their work about tactile perception of coatings. Dr Lisa Skedung et al. developed systematically designed mono-sized polymer beads and analysed the beads’ effect on tactile interaction. You can read their complete contribution starting on page 16.
Experts on functional coatings share their experience in our Expert Voices section. Read on page 12 and 13 their estimation how functional coatings can contribute to sustainability and technological trends, which could be influence functional coatings in the next years. Our Product Overview on page 14 and 15 focuses on easy-to-clean coatings. It presents different materials to formulate such coatings.
