ACA’s Andy Doyle to retire in January 2025
The American Coatings Association’s President and CEO Andy Doyle will retire on January 15, 2025. Doyle was first appointed CEO in March 1988 and will celebrate 45 years with ACA in June.

I am especially grateful for the support of our current and past elected leaders, our chairmen and vice chairmen, and the members of our Board and Executive Committee. I consider myself blessed to have worked with a tremendously talented staff team. They are a smart, dedicated, and caring group of people who work hard every day to advance our industry. I cannot thank them enough for their friendship and support.”
Executive recruiting firm Heidrick and Struggles will assist with the search. The American Coatings Association (ACA) is a voluntary, nonprofit trade association working to advance the needs of the paint and coatings industry and the professionals who work in it. The organisation represents paint and coatings manufacturers, raw materials suppliers, distributors, and technical professionals. ACA serves as an advocate and ally for members on legislative, regulatory and judicial issues, and provides forums for the advancement and promotion of the industry through educational and professional development services.
