Allnex opens new R&D center in Werndorf
Allnex has announced a multi-million-euro investment into a new, state-of-the-art Research and Development center, which is located in Werndorf, Austria and the modernisation and expansion of production facilities for the manufacture of waterborne products.
The main focus of the new R&D center will be the development of new low-VOC, waterborne and VOC-compliant resins and additives for the global coatings markets. According to the company, it is also an investment into digitalisation, as the latest automated, high throughput synthesis and application equipment has been installed. This equipment is intended to increase the overall effectiveness of the laboratory and increase speed to market of new, sustainable solutions.
