Asian Paints to set up new manufacturing facility in India

Aian Paints has approved the setting up of a manufacturing facility for Vinyl Acetate Ethylene Emulsion (VAE) and Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM) in India.

The installed capacity of the new manufacturing facility would be 100,000 tons per annum for VAM and 150,000 tons per annum for VAE. VAM is a key input for manufacturing VAE.

Key constituent for manufacturing environment friendly paints

VAE is considered as a key constituent for manufacturing environment friendly paints. Asian Paints, already imports VAE & VAM for its internal consumption. The setting up of facility for manufacture of VAM would be based on licensed technology tie up with Kellogg Brown & Root LLC, USA.
