Bodo Möller Chemie takes over the Benelux sales & distribution for Silberline
Silberline is one of the world’s leading suppliers of aluminum effect pigments. The company has transferred the sales & distribution of pigment products for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg to the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.
The Silberline effect pigments are used in many applications, such as in car paints, printing inks and plastics. The Benelux market enjoys a special status in the field, as there are more than 120 paint and coating manufacturers in the Netherlands alone that have a growing need of industrial effect pigments. “The collaboration with one of the leading manufacturers of aluminum pigments strengthens even more our focus on high-performance products in the area of the paints and coatings industry and consolidates our position as additive and pigment supplier for the most varied applications,” says Volker Oehl, Director of Business Development of Bodo Möller Chemie.
“Effect pigments are used in many plastics to improve functionality and esthetics. In addition, there is our general commitment to the industry to offer more variety to our customers. We will keep expanding our portfolio throughout the world with pigments, pigment preparations, and dyes. Market access and own logistics
With an own branch in the Belgian city of Antwerp, Bodo Möller Chemie has a central location. As early as in 2009, Bodo Möller Chemie Benelux N.V. has been present in the market. The product range of Bodo Möller Chemie in Belgium already encompasses adhesives for the automobile industry, for packaging, and many other uses. The Benelux branch of Bodo Möller Chemie is certified according to ISO 9000. “The Silberline Co. benefits from our already long-standing market access. At the same time, we can expand our customer base located there with the new products and comprehensive support – offering from the adhesive to the pigment,” explains Stefan Hellinckx, Sales Manager – Performance Chemicals, Bodo Möller Chemie Benelux.
With their highly reflective mirror-like surface, aluminum pigments offer a wide range of applications and can be mixed with other pigments to achieve special effects and open up the color spectrum even more. They are used both in plastics and as an additive in varnishes, paints and coatings, as well as in the packaging industry. For almost 50 years, the Bodo Möller Chemie Group has been supplying pigments for the varnish and paint sector and for plastic uses, a sector that is likely to be strategically expanded even more in the future.
