CB Chemie: Groundbreaking and planned expansion
CB Chemie, Austrian distributor of binders, pigments and additives from several major manufacturers, is moving its corporate headquarters from Baumgarten to Siegendorf. This also takes into account the planned expansion into Eastern Europe.
In the future, the new company premises of almost 9,000 m² will provide space for offices for 15 employees, 1,700 m² of storage and commissioning area, laboratory and a silo station for the transfer of bagged goods and BigBags into silo trucks. The entire warehouse is temperature-controlled, making it suitable for sensitive products in the life science sector. An environmentally friendly and sustainable energy management is provided by a photovoltaic system with an output of 44Kwh. The planned completion date of the new premises is the end of 2021.
Expansion into Eastern Europe
The construction is intended to make further expansion into Eastern Europe more logistically feasible. Following the market entries in the Czech Republic and Slovenia, the foundation of a subsidiary in Hungary in January 2021 marked the start of business activities in the neighboring country to the east. CB Chemie GmbH is investing a total of around EUR 5 million in the new site in Siegendorf. An additional area of approximately 14,000m² is available for a possible further expansion of the site.
