Prof Dr Frank Richter, who has been a member of the company’s Supervisory Board since May 2020, was elected to the position. The industrial engineer and Managing Director of SKion succeeds Dr Matthias L. Wolfgruber, the former CEO of Altana. He stepped down from the Supervisory Board at the end of his term of office after reaching the age limit, had been a member of the Supervisory Board since March 2016 and had chaired the Board since May 2020. The Supervisory Board and the Management Board would like to expressly thank Dr Wolfgruber for his many years of successful work and support for the Altana Group.

Mr Ruud Joosten, who has been Chairman of the Executive Board of the Royal Bam Group since 2020, was newly elected to the Supervisory Board. Ulrich Gajewiak and Dr Susanne Klatten remain Deputy Chairwomen of the Supervisory Board.

“We would like to thank Dr Wolfgruber very much for his excellent support and valuable input over the past years and wish him all the best for the next stage of his life,” said Martin Babilas, CEO of Altana. “At the same time, we warmly welcome Mr Joosten to Altana’s Supervisory Board. We are very pleased to have gained Prof Dr Richter as Chairman. He will enrich the company in this function with his many years of experience and expertise.” Prof Dr Frank Richter explains: “I look forward to building on the trusting cooperation to date and to accompanying the Altana Group on its further path as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.”
