Heraeus Precious Metals names Alfred Kochen as distribution partner
Heraeus Precious Metals, supplier of precious metal products and services, and Alfred Kochen are entering into a distribution partnership: The long-established Hamburg-based trading house will include Heraeus Precious Metals’ antimicrobial technology in its paints and coatings segment.
Alfred Kochen will thus become Heraeus Precious Metals’ sales partner for the company’s AGXX antimicrobial technology for the applications “Paints & Coatings”, “Polyamides” as well as “Polyurethane” in the DACH region. The company supplies industrial raw materials for various business areas to industrial end-users in the paints, coatings, construction and plastics industries. Since its foundation in 1961, Alfred Kochen has been working with renowned suppliers and manufacturers from all over the world and has built up extensive industry knowledge during this time.
Catalytic reaction
The antimicrobial technology from Heraeus Precious Metals protects surfaces and textiles from germs and shows a long-lasting effect against bacteria, viruses, biofilm formation as well as resistant germs. Unlike conventional technologies, the mechanism of action is based on a catalytic reaction and not on the release of substances such as metal ions.
