How is the paints and coatings industry affected by political crises?

By reading the annual surveys in the January issues of European Coatings JOURNAL and our German coatings magazine FARBE UND LACK, I became aware of the consequences of the crisis in the Ukraine for the coatings industry. In their statements, several companies have voiced concerns, many are carefully monitoring the situation, and some have already experienced it to be an inhibiting factor on their business.

I would be interested in getting the bigger picture. Are you also concerned by the situation in the Ukraine? Or are they are any other political situations that pose problems or concerns for you in your daily business? What are your ways to deal with it? I would be happy to hear about your experiences.
