Kansai Helios completes acquisition of the German coatings manufacturer Wefa
The Kansai Helios Group has completed the acquisition of all assets, including all business activities, brands and employees, of Westdeutsche Farben GmbH (“Wefa”) by the newly set-up group company, Kansai Helios Wefa, in Essen.
With this transaction, the group now has a second location in Germany in addition to Kansai Helios Germany in Buchholz-Mendt. Especially in the areas of rail railway coatings and other industrial coatings, this merger is expected to create strong synergies within the group. Wefa’s decades of experience with water-based coatings is intended to expand the Kansai Helios Group’s field of expertise and create new opportunities in product development.
Expanded brand rage
Wefa’s products join the brand range of the Kansai Helios Group and significantly complement the existing brand range in the areas of rail vehicle paints and coatings for agricultural, construction and earthmoving machinery.
