Krahn Chemie Benelux and Dura Europe sign distribution agreement
Krahn Chemie Benelux and Dura Europe have entered into a distribution agreement effective January 1, 2025. Under this partnership, Krahn Chemie Benelux will distribute Dura Europe’s paint driers and anti-skinning agents in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The products are used in coatings, printing inks, unsaturated polyester resins (UPR), polyurethane, chemicals and petrochemicals, fuel additives, as well as lubricants and greases.

The agreement expands the range of additives offered by Krahn Chemie Benelux and is intended to strengthen Dura Europe’s presence in the Benelux region. Serge Vermooten, Business Segment Manager for Coatings and Construction Chemicals at Krahn Chemie Benelux, emphasises the growing regulatory challenges in the coatings industry and the need for sustainable solutions. He highlights that Dura Europe’s products are designed to address upcoming regulatory requirements while offering innovative solutions for solvent and waterborne systems.
Dura Europe develops solvent-borne and waterborne driers, as well as anti-skinning agents. The company, headquartered in Spain, offers cobalt-free and low-cobalt alternatives without compromising catalytic performance. These products complement the bio-based waterborne alkyd dispersions in the Krahn portfolio and align with its sustainability objectives.
John Birkett, Director at Dura Europe, states that Krahn Chemie Benelux’s market expertise and distribution network will help improve access to its products and services in the region.
