In an interview with the “Rheinische Post”, Lanxess CEO Matthias Zachert said that he could not rule out layoffs for operational reasons. At the moment, the company is negotiating with the employee representatives about the type and extent of the layoffs.

Administration affected by possible job cuts?

Above all, the administration would be affected by the possible job cuts. “So far, Lanxess has always managed to make the job cuts socially acceptable,” said Zachert. “That is also the goal now.”
