Malermester Svend Aage Sørensen becomes part of Håndverksgruppen in Denmark
“We are in an exciting phase of growth and development in Denmark. With the addition of Malermester Svend Aage Sørensen, Håndverksgruppen will have an even better presence in the Copenhagen and North Zealand area, where the aim is to grow further and, over time, achieve national coverage. The company has valuable expertise and skilled craftsmen from which we will benefit greatly,” says Frederik Stage Olsen, Country Manager for Håndverksgruppen in Denmark.
Denmark is an important part of Håndverksgruppen’s strategy to become the leading provider of surface services in Northern Europe. Håndverksgruppen has been operating in Denmark since 2022 and already has a strong presence with several painting companies in Aalborg, Aarhus and Copenhagen. The group is currently the market leader in surfaces in Norway, Sweden and Denmark and is in the process of establishing itself in Germany. The group has a total turnover of more than 580 million euros.
Painting company with a long tradition
Malermester Svend Aage Sørensen is a family-run painting company with a long tradition based in Hillerød, north of Copenhagen. The company was founded in 1967 by master painter Svend Aage Sørensen, and in 2007 his son Torben Sørensen took over the company. In 2020, Bo Løngaa also became a co-owner and partner in the company.
The family business is mainly active in North Zealand and the Copenhagen area and offers painting services for private individuals, companies, housing associations and construction companies. The company is particularly known for its quality work in the renovation and refurbishment of houses for housing associations, a specialism that will further strengthen Håndverksgruppen’s offering. The company employs 25 people and achieved a turnover of around 4 million euros in 2023.
