New collaboration between HS Chem and Nordmann
HS Chem supplies high-performance rheology additives based on polyamide waxes. Available in liquid, paste and powder form, these additives are used in aqueous, solvent-free and solvent-based systems alike to build structural viscosity and thixotropy. They ensure good control during application, allowing layers to be built up thickly without issue.
Polyethylene wax-based additives are also part of HS Chem’s product offering, available through Nordmann as both liquids and pastes. Solid particles like pigments and fillers are prevented from settling, improving the storage stability of end products. Some hybrid types specially designed for aqueous systems also optimize the orientation of the metallic effect pigments.
“This new partnership not only strengthens Nordmann’s position in the market, but also gives our customers access to innovative solutions that will increase the performance and versatility of their products. We’re convinced that this is just the beginning of a long-term success story for both companies – and for our customers as well,” says Peter Kuchenbrod, Business Manager Coatings & Inks at Nordmann Germany.
Reading tip Rheology
In order to be able to use the possibilities of rheology in industrial practice in a targeted manner, a well-founded theoretical basic knowledge is required, but also a practice-oriented understanding of experiments for material characterization. This is exactly where “The Rheology Handbook” comes in: The new, revised edition has been supplemented with numerous practical examples and introduces both beginners and advanced users to a wide range of practical applications of rheology. An updated overview of relevant standards and a new chapter on powder rheology round off this easy-to-understand textbook.
