New exhibitions and conferences in Asia Pacific and Middle East

From September 21-23, 2022, the two partners will initiate the Pacific Coatings Show for the first time at the Jakarta International Expo convention center in Indonesia. In the United Arab Emirates, NürnbergMesse will organize the Gulf Coatings Show together with Vincentz Network at the Expo Centre Sharjah from October 16-18, 2022. Both trade shows will be held biennially in the future.

Exciting future prospects and growth potential

And indeed, according to forecasts, the entire Asia-Pacific region will account for the largest share, circa 50 percent, of the global paint and coatings market in the future. The Southeast Asian markets for paints and coatings, for example, are predicted to grow at an average rate of around 5 percent over the next five years. Reasons for this include a growing manufacturing sector, booming construction, high demand for decorative products and its increasing role as a major automotive location.

The Middle East, as a hub between three continents, is also considered a lucrative future market for the coatings industry. In 2019, the Middle East and North Africa regional coatings market size was estimated at a total value of $9.9 billion, with a volume of 3.1 billion liters. According to forecasts, this is expected to grow by 4.1% in value and 2.6% in volume per year over the next five years.
