Sika opens new plant in Southwestern China

Sika opens a new factory for liquid membranes and mortar products in Chongqing, the city of 30 million in southwest China. With the commissioning of the new plant, Sika aims to expand its position in this rapidly growing metropolitan area.

The automotive, finance and logistics sectors are primarily represented in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, and the construction industry benefits from these operations and companies’ efforts to achieve more sustainable production. With the new state-of-the-art plant in the region, Sika intends to position itself optimally to meet the increasing demand of the construction industry for quality and sustainability-enhancing products. In addition, the company can significantly expand its production capacities.
