Stockmeier takes over majority of shares in Vesta Chemicals

Stockmeier has taken over the majority of shares in the distribution company for specialty chemicals with retroactive effect from 1st of January 2024. Vesta Chemicals is a distributor for fine chemicals and intermediates and specialty chemicals established 1988 in the city of Zwolle.

They supply polymerisation initiators, organic peroxides and a vast number of organic catalysts and special intermediates to customers producing powder coatings, alkyd resins, polyurethane, epoxy resins, plastics and elastomers, construction chemicals and fragrances in more than 26 European countries and North America.

The Vesta portfolio is complementary to Innochem in Meerhout, Belgium, Stockmeier’s center of excellence for fine chemicals and intermediates as well to Stockmeier’s business units for specialty chemicals across Europe. Therefore, Jan Smeets (Managing Director of Innochem) and Dirk Seidel (Managing Director of Stockmeier Chemie) together with Erik-Jan van Dijk and Harry Kleinsmit (Vesta Managing Directors) will jointly lead and manage the company and roll out the synergies into the organization.
