TER Chemicals acquires Evonik’s Fischer-Tropsch wax business
TER Chemicals has finalized the acquisition of Evonik’s modified Fischer-Tropsch wax business, effective June 30, 2024. This acquisition includes a range of custom Fischer-Tropsch waxes designed for various applications.
The acquired products will continue to be offered under their existing brand. TER Chemicals will maintain the same quality standards and support as part of its ongoing business operations. Fischer-Tropsch waxes are used in various industries, including as lubricants in plastics processing and in coatings and printing inks to improve sliding properties, abrasion and scratch resistance.
Jens Vinke, Head of the Business Unit CASE at TER Chemicals, stated, “The modified Fischer-Tropsch waxes expand our product range for coatings, adhesives, plastics, and other industries. We are considering future opportunities to broaden this portfolio in response to market needs.”
