Wacker opens new corporate headquarters in the Munich plant quarter
Wacker inaugurated its new corporate headquarters in Munich yesterday with a ceremony attended by over 100 invited guests. The new 18,000 square metre building in Munich’s Werksviertel district was designed by Danish architects C.F. Møller. With Wacker House, the company is relocating its headquarters from Munich Neuperlach to Munich’s Werksviertel district, offering space for 600 employees.
Bavaria’s Minister President Markus Söder emphasised in his welcoming address: “Performance and innovation are a good fit for Bavaria. The chemical industry is essential for Bavaria as an industrial centre and secures many jobs. We are committed to SMEs, family businesses and global players. Unfortunately, there is a passion in many places in Germany to weaken ourselves. Instead, the right thing to do would be to strengthen our companies: This includes good framework conditions for the economy, a secure energy supply with a permanently favourable industrial electricity price and a new performance principle. Work and a culture of performance must be worthwhile again.”
