With its new location in Medellin, Colombia, Weicon, a manufacturer of adhesives and sealants, has established its tenth foreign subsidiary. Following locations in Dubai, Canada, Turkey, Romania, South Africa, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Spain and Italy, the newly founded Weicon Colombia S.A.S, based in Medellin in the north-west of Colombia, is the tenth foreign branch of the Münster-based family business. It is headed by local Managing Director Daniel Mesa Saldarriaga.

“We have been working successfully with Daniel for years, as he worked for a technical distributor in Colombia that sells our products,” explains Ralph Weidling, Managing Partner of Weicon. “By establishing our subsidiary, we will further strengthen and expand our market position. We are looking forward to a very promising future in Colombia.”

“Colombia is a very interesting market for us and the economy is on a good growth trajectory. Our products can be used in important economic sectors in Colombia, such as mining, the maritime industry and metal construction,” adds Ann-Katrin Weidling, co-partner of the Weicon Group. “The country therefore offers a strong sales market for our products.”
