ChemQuest’s technology institute appoints Victoria Scarborough vice president of collaborative innovation
Dr. Scarborough is renowned worldwide as an R&D leader and subject matter expert for the commercialisation of in-demand new technology that leverages open innovation. Her leadership strengths include aligning company stakeholders, external global partners, and multidisciplined technologists, for seamless, technology-driven marketing, finance, manufacturing, and R&D functions.
Dr. Scarborough earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Mary Washington and received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of TN Health Science Center (1979). She pursued an MBA from Christian Brothers University, and later participated in the Sherwin-Williams’ Leadership Excellence Program at Case Western Reserve University. In 2012, Scarborough completed the Licensing Executives Society’s Best Practices in Licensing: Developing, Negotiating & Executing Transactions program.

For the past 25+ years, Dr. Scarborough has advanced technology in the public and private sector ranging from the DoD and Federal laboratories, universities, and multinational corporations, to individual inventors and start-ups, often by creating and managing complex R&D and commercialisation activities, with multimillion-dollar budgets.
