The 35th edition of the event, which was planned to take place at Koelnmesse in Germany from 27 to 28 May 2020, is postponed to 11 – 12 November 2020 following the escalation of COVID-19 in Europe and globally.

Speaking about the announcement, Nicola Hamann, Managing Director of Mack Brooks Exhibitions, said: “The health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors and staff is our number one priority. After closely monitoring the evolving situation around COVID-19 and the notices issued by the World Health Organisation, the advice from the German authorities regarding large scale gatherings and in close coordination with all partners involved, we have decided to postpone the exhibition.”

“We prioritise the health and safety of everyone involved”

“Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the virus. This is not a decision we have taken lightly; our customers, partners and the Chemspec Europe Team worked incredibly hard on this event. While it is disappointing to postpone, it is imperative that we prioritise the health and safety of everyone involved. Our goal remains to provide the best customer value for everyone attending Chemspec Europe by delivering a high-quality exhibition in the second half of 2020”, concluded Nicola Hamann.
