Coatings additives: little helpers for every formulation
You can’t do without them when it comes to formulating coatings. They’re great for selectively controlling properties. But you must fastidiously ensure that they are compatible with the other components, otherwise your high-performance coating system might quickly become lacklustre.
There are detractors who argue that many formulations contain additives which are not really necessary. But that's a topic for another day.
