Investment of EUR 55 million: Tesa builds new plant in Vietnam
Tesa has made the decision to build a new large plant in Vietnam. Production will start in 2023.

-The Tesa Group intends to increase its presence in Asia, significantly increase its capacities and thus shorten the distance to customers and suppliers.

“The aim of our strategy is to continue to grow and achieve a balance between the regions of Europe, North America, and Asia. The Asian adhesive tape market is experiencing very dynamic growth, which we intend to exploit,” explains Dr. Norman Goldberg, Chairman of the Executive Board of tesa SE, an affiliate of the Beiersdorf Group. “The fact that tesa is making an investment of around EUR 55 million in times of Corona is a strong signal from the stockholders for the future”.
At present, tesa operates 14 production facilities worldwide, including large plants in Germany (Hamburg, Offenburg), Italy, the USA and China. The location of the new building is the port city of Haiphong in northern Vietnam, where the company will be located on approximately 70,000 square meters.
