Loba becomes part of the international Ardex Group
Since Wakol has been a majority shareholder of the Ardex Group since 2015, Loba will become part of the Ardex Group's international network. In order to facilitate this transaction, four long-standing Loba shareholders are offering their shares for sale. The overriding objective of this decision is to secure the long-term success of the company. The new shareholder structure thus consists of Wakol and Michael Fischer, a graduate in business administration, who will continue to be available in his unchanged role as managing director.
Location in Ditzingen to be expanded
The Loba site in Ditzingen will be further expanded as a development and production center for surface finishing within the Ardex Group. The treatment and refinement of wood and cork currently play a central role here. There are further activities in the area of elastic and cementitious coverings. The company name, brand and sales structure as well as the contact persons for customers and suppliers will remain unchanged. The company organisation and personnel will remain unchanged in both companies.
The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of November 2018 at the latest following the mandatory review by the antitrust authorities.
