May issue: Pigments in the focus
The May issue of the European Coatings Journal is out. It features a full package on pigments: a market report, a product overview and expert interviews. The magazine is also available in European Coatings 360°.
A trend towards sustainability is noticeable in many parts of the paints and coatings industry. This is also very true for pigments, say Thomas Sowade of Heubach and Christopher Jahn of Dörken Coatings. The experts also speak about other trends regarding pigments from page 18 on.
While the market for pigments has been among those sectors affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, it is already showing signs of recovery. The market overview (page 14) gives a detailed picture of the situation.
In the focus article, Dr Paul Brown and Dr Jana Heller of BASF Colors & Effects introduce a perylene black pigment that allows for deep black shades in NIR-management coatings (page 22).
