Radiation-cured coatings are still a smaller segment within our industry. Some may even call it a niche technology. This might be true, depending from one’s own viewpoint. But, it is also true that radiation-curing systems are one of the fastest growing segments, as industry experts from Allnex and Arkema explain in our market report (page 12). And, it will continue to grow as the markets are driven by the move towards environmentally-friendly systems.

UV is by far the most common source of radiation-curing energy. However, Xavier Drujon of Sartomer Europe shows in his technical paper that EB technology can be more relevant in some high-speed and high-volume applications and can be expected to contribute substantially to the growth of radiation curing in the future (page 18).

He will share further in-depth information on his paper during the European Coatings Live webinar on 26 May at 15.00 CET. Registration is free of charge.
