New Global Business Director Powder Coatings at Stahl
René Rieser has been appointed Global Business Director Powder Coatings at Stahl. In this new position, the paint engineer will take over a number of different tasks.
Over the last years, Performance Coatings has been growing fast, thanks to its ability to enter new markets and applications.
Continuing business strategy
In order to further diversify growth and establish new markets for Stahl, a Joint Venture was formed in 2015 to establish Stahl Powder Coatings. This new group will focus its market leading know-how to deliver technical solutions for wood-based materials which is an emerging market. An initial activity based on market demand show promising prospects that justify and requires dedicated leadership. It is for this reason that the Division has created this new position: Global Business Director Powder Coatings. The purpose of this role is to continue the development and business strategy across all aspects of Stahl Powder Coatings including technical, manufacturing, logistics and commercial activities.
About René Rieser
For this position Stahl is happy to welcome back René Rieser who worked for Stahl from 2006 to 2008 as technical advisor in Waalwijk. René, German, 38 years old, lives in Germany. He joined Stahl Chemicals Germany GmbH on May 1, 2017 and will be based mainly in Waalwijk and Leinfelden. He is a paint engineer, holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from Hochschule Nordhessen – University of Applied Sciences and has gained experiences in the coatings industry since the year 2003.
In this new position, he will report to the Group Director Performance Coatings, Uwe Siebgens, and he will work along with Stahl's joint venture partners, the technical management department and R&D to enhance the growth through new opportunities. The current team members in Powder Coatings, Frank Zimmermann and Oliver Rau, will report in their existing roles to René Rieser.
