New issue: Focus on bio-based coatings
The latest issue of the European Coatings Journal just got out. In this issue we present a strong focus on bio-based coatings. Also the issue holds a some other highlights worth reading.

Demand for bio-based coatings is rising. However, in absolute numbers they represent only a small niche. Aside from some areas, where they are already in use for a long time, there is a huge task ahead for the industry to develop new raw materials and formulations to decrease the usage of fossil-based materials in most of the coatings industry.
In this issue experts share their views on the development of the bio-based market and talk about the chances to get to a fully bio-based industry by 2050 and how regulation and standardisation could help to achive this task. Also, the issue looks at bio-based additives and the role of UV-curing for bio-based resins.
Aside from bio-based coatings the issue will cover the German coatings market during the corona crisis and technical articles about low-VOC binders for concrete coatings, and photosensitive alkyd resins for coatings, inks and 3D-printing.
