October issue: Focus on automotive coatings
The October issue of European Coatings Journal is out and features a full package on automotive coatings: a market report, a product overview and expert interviews. The magazine is also available in European Coatings 360°.
Many different features are expected of cars, among them speed, good looks and fuel economy. Automotive coatings, too, have to satisfy a number of requirements. These include good adhesion, scratch resistance, and wind and weathering resistance. In our focus article starting on page 16, Elwin de Wolf and his team examine how coatings adhere to the growing number of plastic parts used in car manufacturing and report on a new acrylic adhesion promoter resin for plastics coatings.
