Penn Color expands facilities in the Netherlands
Penn Color completes a EUR 10,8M expansion of its facilities in Venray, the Netherlands. Added are new production capabilities for highly concentrated PVC and engineering plastics color and additive masterbatches. The expansion also supports the production of high-end specialty coating.
The site will now produce masterbatches for use in PVC profiles and siding, calendared PVC films, and various engineering polymer applications. The facility currently produces thermoplastic masterbatches for packaging, water-based inks, and coatings for wallcovering and flooring.
A new customer innovation centre
Emphasis on sustainability was a large part of the design process. Energy-efficient additions include solar panels, heat recovery from production processes, and heat pumps instead of traditional heating and cooling.
Upgrades include a new customer innovation centre for client collaboration sessions. This showcases Penn Color’s new rapid digital color matching and prototyping system. The expansion also includes state-of-the-art laboratory space, warehouse storage, and office upgrades.
