SurTec inaugurates new production site in Vietnam
SurTec inaugurated a new production site in Vietnam. The site in Ho Chi Minh City, which has been part of the SurTec Group since 2009, now has a state-of-the-art production facility.
The new location was ceremoniously inaugurated with a traditional dragon dance. Representatives of the Freudenberg Group, local partners and customers as well as high-ranking personalities from business and politics participated in the opening.
Designed to supply the entire Southeast Asian region
The manufacturing facility is designed to supply the entire Southeast Asian region with chemical specialities for surface technology in the medium term. With an annual production capacity of up to 5,000 tonnes, the plant is designed for the rapid growth in Vietnam and adjacent markets. “This location is an investment in a market that we believe will grow over-proportionately”, says Dr. Karsten Grünke, CEO of the SurTec Group.
“The new production will ensure even better support for our local customers and a significant reduction in delivery times. This puts us in an excellent position for the future in this region”, Dr. Grünke continues. In addition to China, Japan and India, Vietnam is now the fourth production site of the SurTec Group in Asia.
