In a new paper, a GO/IBTS composite emulsion against microbial fouling of concrete surfaces in marine tidal areas was prepared by sol–gel method with graphene oxide (GO) and isobutyltriethoxysilane (IBTS) as raw materials.
A new paper reports strong adhesion and lack of ecotoxicity of a solar-driven antifouling sol-gel coating. Test results open the route to the practical utilisation of these novel marine coatings.
